１７日付の米紙ワシントン・ポストは、「日本の挑発的な動き」と題した論説を掲載し、昨年末に靖国神社に参拝した安倍晋三首相が強硬なナショナリズムに転じているため、アジアの安全保障問題を深刻化させていると批判した。
